Summary

To deliver high-quality, patient-centred integrated sexual health services to individuals aged 13 years and over, providing evidence-based contraception, sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening, testing, treatment, advice, and health promotion. The post holder will work autonomously within agreed competencies and clinical guidelines, undertaking comprehensive assessments, making informed clinical decisions, and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and accessible sexual health services across Northumberland. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will support the continuous development of the service, contribute to the implementation of local and national sexual health priorities, and uphold Trust policies, standards, and values. The role offers opportunities for professional development, including recognised sexual health training and qualifications, enabling the post holder to develop specialist knowledge and skills within the specialty. The post holder will demonstrate compassionate, inclusive leadership by fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, quality improvement, and excellent patient care, while supporting colleagues and contributing to positive health outcomes for the communities served.
