Summary

Consultant Specialty Doctor in Genitourinary Medicine

This is a remote role with flexible location. Interim Head of Sexual Health Services (Consultant – GMC Specialist Register). Genitourinary Medicine (GUM), STI management, contraception, HIV care.

My client is a leading heath provider looking for a highly experienced medical professional to take the lead on a national service design & mobilisation project, to prepare the organisation to launch their sexual health services. You will hold GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register, and have consultant-level experience within Genitourinary Medicine / Sexual Health.

You will assume strategic leadership for the new services across the organisation, reviewing service delivery models and developing innovative sexual health strategies aligned with evidence based practice. They have a range of established health services and the new sexual health services will be both embedded within existing services and offered as standalone services across England.

Clinical leadership responsibilities include all aspects establishing robust clinical governance frameworks, policies and quality assurance processes, and ensuring organisational readiness for CQC.

Your experience and knowledge will allow you to work with the board of directors and SMT to best position the organisation, utilising cutting edge research to identify all possible opportunities for innovation. Any experience of leading organisational transformation would of course be highly beneficial.

The role will be performed remotely with some travel as required. Ideally you will be available 2-3 days per week, this is flexible and open to discussion. The initial contract will be 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension beyond this point. Day rate negotiable depending on experience.
