Summary
You’ll support people in your community to stop smoking, helping them improve their health and wellbeing. This role plays an important part in reducing health inequalities and promoting healthier lifestyles.
Working as part of the Stop Smoking Service, you’ll provide tailored support to individuals and groups, helping them make positive, lasting changes. You’ll also work closely with a range of health and community partners to reach people where they are and respond to local needs. This development role offers a structured pathway to build your skills and progress within the service.
What you’ll do:
• Deliver one-to-one and group support to help people quit smoking
• Provide clear advice on the impact of smoking on health
• Work with community partners to promote healthy lifestyle messages
• Keep accurate records and monitor client progress
• Support local events and activities to engage communities
What we’re looking for:
• Experience working with people in a community or healthcare setting
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to motivate and support behaviour change
• Good organisational skills and confidence using basic IT systems
• Willingness to learn and complete training as part of a development plan
