Summary

ICT Test & Release Manager needed Paying  £425 per day ref 376565

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  •  Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage the end-to-end test and release lifecycle for core ICT systems and applications.
    • Develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, test plans, and regression testing schedules for system upgrades, enhancements, and releases.
    • Coordinate System Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect management activities.
    • Work closely with business users, subject matter experts, suppliers, and project teams to ensure testing requirements are understood and delivered.
    • Manage release schedules, deployments, and change activities in line with ITIL and change management processes.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact testing, release timelines, service availability, or system quality.
    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional testing teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of testing and release objectives.
    • Monitor, track, and report on testing progress, defects, risks, and release readiness to senior stakeholders.
    • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, test automation opportunities, and release management practices.
    • Maintain test, release, and system documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and audit requirements.
    • Liaise with software suppliers and third-party partners to manage defects, support issue resolution, and improve service delivery.
    • Ensure all releases meet agreed quality standards, service levels, and business requirements before deployment into production.
    • Support the strategic development of test and release management tools, processes, and best practices across the ICT function.
    • Promote compliance with information security, data protection, health and safety, and relevant policing standards and policies.
