Summary

Housing Officer

Full-time (37 Hours), Temporary Maternity cover, up to 9 months

Grade B2 - £31,537 - £33,699 per annum

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced housing professional to join the Neighbourhood Services team; This post puts you at the heart of a busy and interesting operation/department which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s landlord services

Job Requirements:

• Experience of delivering a frontline housing management service.

• Excellent communications skills with ability to accurately record information.

• Good understanding of housing related issues.

• A creative approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing cover for Housing Officers when required including Duty Officer responsibilities.

• Responsive to tenancy management requests

• Taking enforcement action against tenants in breach of their tenancies.

• Providing support to and act as an advocate for vulnerable tenants.

• Be creative with good attention to detail

• Strong visual and language skills

• Competent across all aspects of customer service and housing management

• A highly organised, empathetic and conscientious person

You will be required to apply a high level of motivation when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of Housing and Property service at an operational level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
