Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark and Azure Synapse Analytics.
This is a hybrid contract opportunity, starting in the first week of September 2026, offering a rate of £325 per day Outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Build data processing and transformation solutions using PySpark.
Design and optimise data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics.
Work with Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Factory and Data Engineering.
Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Develop efficient data models and transformation processes.
Monitor and optimise data pipelines for performance, reliability and scalability.
Implement appropriate data quality, security and governance controls.
Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers and business stakeholders.
Maintain technical documentation covering data architecture, pipelines and data flows.
