We are looking for a part-time Support Worker to join our Derbyshire Low Level Support Service (DLLSS) in North-East Derbyshire / Chesterfield / Bolsover with the primary aim of providing short-term, targeted support (not personal care) to individuals, focusing on maintaining their independence in their own homes.

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:

Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities

Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate

To maintain confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgement in undertaking all areas of responsibilities

The essentials

Salary: £25,282.67 - £28,071.60 per annum pro-rata

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Location: Blended – working from home and within the specific location / community (North-East Derbyshire, Chesterfield or Bolsover). Role may involve working/traveling across Derbyshire and occasionally beyond

Contract: fixed term until April 2027 with possible extension (dependant on funding)
