Summary

HGV Technician

Location – Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Salary – £44,075 Basic + Overtime

Hours – Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours per week)

Ref – 30022

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join one of the UK's leading fleet maintenance operations based in Haywards Heath. Working on behalf of a major national organisation responsible for delivering essential environmental and public services, you'll be joining a well-equipped workshop maintaining a modern fleet of HGVs, refuse collection vehicles and light commercial vehicles. HGV Technician Role

- Carry out servicing, inspections and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs and LCVs.

- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, braking, suspension and electrical faults.

- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.

- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify complex faults.

- Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately.

- Ensure vehicles are maintained to DVSA and company standards.

- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.

- Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technology and repair techniques.

HGV Technician Requirements

- Previous experience as an HGV Technician (minimum 1 year preferred).

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

- Experience working on HGVs, refuse vehicles or commercial fleets would be advantageous.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Full UK Driving Licence.

- HGV Licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
