We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Barnham, West Sussex, supporting a young service user with complex care needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference, helping a child to live a full, happy, and enriched life both at home and in school.
You will be supporting a bright, bubbly, and engaging six-year-old who loves music, toys, sensory activities, and exploring the world around them. They have a rare chromosomal condition (Trisomy 5p) and require consistent, specialist support from a compassionate and attentive care team.
We’re looking for someone who is calm, caring, and observant, with the ability to recognise and respond to changes in the service user’s complex health needs. The ideal candidate will remain vigilant, communicate concerns promptly, and feel confident supporting clinical care plans. You will also be able to stay calm and act appropriately in emergency situations, providing reassurance and safe, effective care when it matters most.

Market leading pay:
£14.00/h flat rate
£26.00/h Bank Holiday
As a healthcare assistant in this package of care you will:
-Support your service user with their physical care needs, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
-Deliver person-centered care according to bespoke care plans.
-Promote independence and respect each service users spiritual, psychological, and cultural needs.
-Maintain accurate care records.
-Assist with communication between patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
-Administer prescribed medication or clinical tasks after completing our advanced training and competency sign off.
-Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the Regional Nurse Manager.
-Contribute to a supportive, high-standard care environment.
The successful applicant in this role will be:
