Looking for a Sous Chef role with a great team, sensible hours and a well-run kitchen?

We're recruiting for a well-established 4-star countryside hotel on the outskirts of Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, professional kitchen where teamwork comes first and chefs are trusted to do their job.

Salary & Benefits

The Role

You'll support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing and delivering quality dishes across:

• Restaurant service

• Weddings

• Conferences

• Private events

The kitchen uses a mix of fresh ingredients and quality prepared products, helping maintain consistently high standards while creating a well-balanced working environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Head Chef

• Running sections confidently

• Preparing and serving high-quality dishes

• Assisting with stock control and food preparation

• Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards

• Helping keep the kitchen organised and efficient

About You

You'll ideally have:

• Experience as a Sous Chef, or be a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up

• Previous hotel, banqueting or fresh food experience

• A calm, organised approach during busy services

• Good attention to detail

• A positive attitude and strong team ethic
