Summary
CNC Setter Operator£14–£15 per hour (DOE) | Afternoon Shift (Mon–Fri)
We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter Operator operate, and maintain CNC machines, producing precision components to quality and production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC milling, turning, or multi-axis machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Select tooling, set offsets, speeds, and feeds
- Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks
- Maintain machine performance and report faults
- Follow SOPs, control plans, and safety procedures
- Support basic maintenance and continuous improvement
- Proven CNC setting/operating experience
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
- Confident using measuring equipment (e.g. verniers, micrometers)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship
- CNC certifications
- Mon–Thurs: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Fri: 12pm - 5pm
- Reliable and safety-focused
- Able to work to deadlines and quality standards
- Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
