At South Hampshire College Group, we are passionate about helping students succeed. We are looking for two enthusiastic, proactive and student-focused Learning Advisors to join our dedicated team and help create engaging, inclusive and innovative learning experiences across our campuses.
These roles are based at our Fareham and Southampton College Campuses, working 18.5 hours per week on a 38 week term time only basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support learners in developing the skills, confidence and independence they need to achieve their goals, while championing digital learning and providing high-quality study support.

Duties
As a Learning Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting students and staff across our Learning Resource Centres and digital learning environments. Working collaboratively across the Group, you will help ensure a consistent and high-quality student experience while promoting engagement, wellbeing and academic success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with study skills, research and assignment planning.
- Delivering workshops and guidance sessions on topics such as referencing, academic integrity, digital organisation, presentations and teamwork.
- Providing support and guidance to staff and students using the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other digital learning technologies.
- Assisting in the development and promotion of digital learning resources.
- Supporting enrichment activities including reading groups, games clubs, student engagement initiatives and other activities that promote wellbeing and belonging.
- Working closely with the Digital & Innovation Lead to develop confidence in digital learning tools, AI technologies and e-learning resources.
- Providing first-line support for college IT systems, software and learning technologies.
- Maintaining welcoming, inclusive and well-resourced learning environments.
- Supporting student voice activities and initiatives that promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Assisting with wider college activities, including examination invigilation where required.

Experience within education, learning resources, libraries, student support, digital learning environments, customer service or IT support would be advantageous.
Qualifications:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Relevant qualification in education, learning support, IT, digital technologies, library services or a related subject, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Evidence of continuing professional development is desirable.
