Southcote Primary School, is looking for a Casual Assistant Caretaker to join our supportive site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a school or college leaver who wants to gain valuable workplace experience, develop practical skills and make a real difference every day.

No previous caretaker experience is required – we'll provide training and support to help you succeed.

What will you do?

You will help keep our schools safe, welcoming and well-maintained by:

Supporting the day-to-day running of our school sites

Helping with basic maintenance, decorating and minor repairs

Assisting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities

Carrying out simple health and safety checks

Helping to keep the school grounds tidy and attractive

Working alongside experienced staff who will support your development

What are we looking for?

Enjoys practical, hands-on work

Has a positive attitude and is eager to learn

Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in doing a good job

Can work well as part of a team

Communicates confidently with adults and children

Is willing to complete relevant training, including Health & Safety
