The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Waste Services Team as a Driver – Team Leader where you will ensure the assigned waste collection vehicle is driven and operated in compliance with transport legislation.

You will lead, supervise and motivate the collection team to ensure that all collections are completed on the same day, safely and within the designated time as well as assisting with loading when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

· Safely drive and operate a range of specialist vehicles, machinery and equipment in line with legislation, manufacturer guidelines and safe working practices

· Carry out daily vehicle checks, including fuel, oil and water levels andreport any defects to the Fleet Workshop

· Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard of cleanliness

· Deliver a high quality service as part of a dedicated team
