The Role:

You will be part of the Transport Policy and Delivery team within the Council’s Housing, Regeneration and Operations Directorate. The team plays a key role in shaping transport strategy, supporting sustainable growth and delivering evidence-based solutions that improve how people travel across the area. Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, the directorate is focused on delivering high-quality, customer-focused services that support thriving, well-connected communities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the delivery of traffic surveys and transport data collection programmes

· Manage and support technicians and casual survey staff

· Collect, analyse and present transport data to inform policy and decision making

· Maintain accurate datasets in line with national standards and guidance

· Oversee traffic survey equipment, including procurement and maintenance

· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and relevant legislation
