Summary

• The Assistant Pastor (Music) is required to provide spiritual leadership for the church’s worship ministry, lead congregational worship, disciple worship leaders and choir members, and ensure that all music ministry remains centred on Christian worship, prayer, biblical teaching and spiritual formation rather than performance or entertainment. As the church’s worship is predominantly based on the rendering of hymns, there is a need for a Minister with substantial knowledge and experience of Cherubim and Seraphim hymns, their tunes, meanings and appropriate delivery. The Assistant Pastor will train and guide the choir, youth ministry and women’s fellowship in hymn rendering, helping to harmonise their understanding and participation in church worship, while also strengthening members’ personal fellowship with God.

The successful candidate must demonstrate: • A clear Christian faith and recognised calling to pastoral worship ministry. • Extensive knowledge of Cherubim and Seraphim hymns, including their tunes, meanings, and liturgical applications. • Ordination, ministerial commissioning, or formal recognition as a pastor, minister, worship pastor or church leader by a recognised Christian church, denomination or ministry organisation. • Proven experience in choir leadership, music ministry, or worship leadership. • At least 5 years of verifiable experience in Christian worship ministry involving regular leadership of congregational worship, prayer, preaching or biblical teaching. • Demonstrable experience of leading a church choir, worship team or congregation in Christian worship. • Strong biblical Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills. • theological understanding of Christian worship and pastoral ministry. • Ability to lead worship confidently in a multicultural and multinational church environment. • Strong spoken and written English sufficient to lead worship, preach, teach and provide pastoral care in the United Kingdom. • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and willingness to comply with the church’s safeguarding policies.
