Summary

Senior Finance Officer needed in Harrow

This is a temporary role and the hourly rate is £21.89ph PAYE

The reference number is: 013664

The successful candidate will provide high‑quality financial analysis, insight and professional advice to support senior leaders, service managers and budget holders in delivering effective Children’s Social Care and wider Local Government Finance functions.

They will take ownership of complex financial workstreams, ensuring robust budget management, accurate reporting and full compliance with statutory and corporate financial regulations. They will proactively identify financial risks, pressures and opportunities, offering clear, evidence‑based solutions that strengthen financial sustainability and value‑for‑money. They will build strong working relationships across services, communicating financial information in a clear and accessible way, and will drive improvements to financial processes, systems and training materials.

Demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and strong problem‑solving skills, they will champion financial governance and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
