Food Technician – Temporary and ongoing, full-time starting September 2026

Duties as a Food Technician:

As a Food Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Food Technology department and ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons
Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces
Supporting teachers during practical sessions
Ensuring teaching areas are organised and ready for use

Ideal Food Technician:

Previous experience working within a food, catering, hospitality, or school environment
Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for supporting young people's learning
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
