You will be responsible for completing deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and professionally while representing the business positively on the road and at customer sites.Key responsibilities• Carry out local and regional deliveries and collections• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly• Ensure loads are safely secured and handled correctly• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately• Follow road safety, transport and company procedures• Provide courteous service when dealing with delivery points• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation• Support the wider transport team when requiredSkills and qualifications• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Category C• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Valid digital tachograph card• Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices• Strong attention to detail when checking loads and paperwork• Reliable, punctual and professional approach• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules• Good communication and customer service skills• Previous commercial driving experience is advantageousYou must be committed to safe working practices and comply with drivers’ hours and vehicle regulations.
