The company supports a broad range of transport and logistics requirements using specialist vehicles and equipment.The roleAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:• Driving HGV vehicles safely and professionally• Completing local and UK deliveries and collections• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys• Securing loads correctly and following safe loading procedures• Completing delivery paperwork and using digital systems where required• Communicating courteously with customers, site contacts and the transport team• Complying with road transport legislation, drivers’ hours and company procedures• Reporting any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptlySkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Digital tachograph card• Previous commercial driving experience• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours rules• Safe, responsible and reliable approach to work• Professional communication skills• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedulesThis is a temporary days-based opportunity paying £17 per hour, with weekly payment every Wednesday.
