The role offers temporary daytime work for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the appropriate licence and professional driving qualifications.The roleAs an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out deliveries safely and efficiently while representing the business professionally. You will follow planned routes, complete required vehicle and delivery checks, and ensure goods are handled responsibly throughout each journey.Key responsibilities• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road safety and legal requirements• Complete pre-use vehicle checks and report any defects promptly• Carry out deliveries accurately and within agreed timescales• Load, secure and unload goods safely where required• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain relevant confirmations• Maintain clear communication with transport colleagues and customers• Follow working time, drivers’ hours and company proceduresSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 2 licence, also known as Category C• Valid Driver CPC qualification• Digital tachograph card• Safe, responsible and considerate driving style• Good understanding of vehicle checks and load security• Reliable attendance and a professional approach• Good communication and time-management skills• Previous commercial driving or delivery experience is beneficialBenefits• £16 per hour• Paid every Wednesday• Local employer visibilityThis is a temporary, daytime driving opportunity in Newark, suitable for a dependable HGV Class 2 driver who can work safely and efficiently.Apply today.
