Early Years Practitioner The Spinney Lane Nursery School Salary: £30,188 - £34,452 (pro-rata for sessional) Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional Working pattern for position is Monday - Thursday: 8.00-4.15, Friday: 8.00-1.00 The Spinney Lane Nursery, located in the grounds of Gilmerton Primary School, provides early learning and childcare for children aged 3-5. The nursery has implemented 1140 (term-time) hours from August 2018. From August 2020 the Nursery has run a full-time, term-time only placement for approximately 60 children. Children are in from 8.30-3pm on a Monday to Thursday and 8.30-12.30 on a Friday. The successful candidate will have opportunities to be creative and imaginative within the early years setting. They will work collaboratively as part of the nursery team and all stakeholders to develop, implement, monitor and review effective early years policies, procedures and practice in a climate which promotes equity and excellence in early learning and childcare.
