Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Days) | West Midlands | £35,000 + Overtime Monday to Thursday | 5:00am Start 40 Hours Per Week Overtime: £20/hour | Sundays: £33.65/hour Permanent Position The Opportunity We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer operating within the casting and engineering sector. Due to ongoing investment and increased production demands, the business is looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team on a permanent day shift. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturer with a strong order book, significant investment plans and a long-term commitment to engineering excellence. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability across a busy manufacturing operation. Ideally you'll have experience with: Hydraulics, valves and cylinders Bearings and rotating equipment Pneumatic systems Gearboxes and transmissions Pumps, conveyors and industrial machinery Welding, cutting and grinding You'll also have: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience in planned and reactive maintenance Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge A hands-on approach and strong commitment to safety Experience within a foundry environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
