How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen As our Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operational and clinical management of the cardiology service. You will help establish and embed clinical pathways, drive service excellence, ensure robust clinical governance, and provide exceptional patient care. You will perform and interpret a range of cardiac diagnostic investigations, with ad while leading and developing a small team of Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiac Associates. Flexibility to work in other London sites - Cromwell Hospital, Canary Wharf - were required. Key Skills / Qualifications Perform and independently report high-quality Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) examinations in accordance with BSE standards. Conduct and interpret: 12-lead ECGs Exercise Treadmill Tests 24-hour Holter Monitoring Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring Lead and manage daily cardiology operations, ensuring efficient service delivery. Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies and governance processes. Support departmental readiness for CQC inspections. Monitor quality standards, undertake audits and drive continuous service improvement. Manage equipment, resources and departmental stock control. Lead, mentor and develop a team of cardiac professionals. Collaborate with consultants, senior clinicians and operational leaders to deliver outstanding patient outcomes. Essential BSc (Hons) in Clinical Cardiac Physiology, Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent qualification. BSE Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) Level 2 Accreditation or EACVI Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification. Significant post-qualification clinical experience. Experience performing and reporting echocardiograms independently. Experience carrying out ECGs, Holter monitoring, BP monitoring and Exercise Treadmill Tests. Leadership or supervisory experience within a cardiac diagnostics setting. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Commitment to clinical excellence, patient care and continuous professional development. Desirable Stress Echocardiography Accreditation. MSc in a Cardiac Physiology-related subject or STP equivalence in Cardiac Imaging. Experience leading audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development projects. Diagnoses seen will vary, but the majority will be soft tissue conditions, sprains, tears, tendinopathies and fractures as well as post operative wound care. You will receive referrals from consultants, GPs, other clinicians, embassies, wards and self-referrals. What will the role as our Senior Hand Therapist look like? Be responsible for the hand therapy of patients referred to you and to practise as an accountable professional using reflective practise and clinical reasoning in order to provide an individualised treatment programme for each patient. Ensure ongoing and long-term care for the patient by liaising with external support services and other clinicians. Advise patients on return to work, leisure, functional, sporting and other activities. Obtain informed, valid consent on an ongoing basis which endeavours to keep them involved in their own health care plan. This includes education to support ongoing management. Maintain accurate, comprehensive and timely patient treatment records which include recording if a patient could not be seen/was not seen. Ensure clear and efficient communication, whether verbal, non-verbal or written, both in expression and active listening, to facilitate comprehension of information Comply with confidentiality policies as set out by the Cromwell Hospital, HCPC and the CSP or RCOT. Key Skills / Qualifications Needed for this role: HCPC registration. Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy qualification. BAHT qualification is desirable. Proven experience as a hand therapist with skills in all aspects of hand therapy. Solid and confident splinting skill - both provision and fabrication of splints.
