We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Consultant General Paediatrician to join the Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) Team, part of the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders (MCCAED) at the Maudsley Hospital, London. This is a permanent 5 PA Consultant General Paediatrician post, having previously been a locum position, within the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders (MCCAED); department of National and Specialist services for Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The purpose of the post is to provide Consultant Paediatric advice, consultation and management for patients within MCCAED. This will include regular weekly commitments to the ARFID service and to be available for advice and consultation to the wider MCCAED service. The Consultant Paediatrician will support the delivery of effective specialist interventions to young people with eating disorders, in accordance with Trust policies and national guidance, and in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will play a critical role in ensuring safe medical care for the patients within MCCAED and contributing to ongoing quality improvements in the service. The postholder will also contribute to the leadership and strategic development of the service, particularly with respect to paediatric aspects of care.
