    PA Support Required for a Couple, AM and PM Calls to Support with Personal Care - 30 Hours Per Month - Swadlincote - SRAF-DCC-001. Job Description PA to support for 30 hours per month, split into days on and days off at a rate of £15 per hour. On the days you will be working support is required for an AM call at 7:30 am for an hour and a quarter. Then a PM call at 7pm for an hour and a quarter. The role is support a couple, one of which is a wheelchair user. The role is to provide personal care to both individuals, showering, toileting, dressing and assistance into an out of bed. This role will require personal care, so the PA must be prepared to support with this. Emergency cover may at times be needed if another PA is absent or ill. Sleeping nights required and parking available. Travel expenses will not be covered and you'll need to bring your own food. He is a lively and affectionate boy, with complex additional needs. He is non- speaking with attention difficulties, sensory behaviours and little awareness of danger. He requires close supervision and support to keep him safe and regulated. He can become distressed and dysregulated at times, and can have self-injurious behaviours, so this role would suit somebody calm, patient and genuinely person-centred. We are looking for people to support our son in a respectful and compassionate way. The role will include: Supporting our son at home and in the community Helping him access activities safely Sensory play and engagement Supporting communication and emotional regulation Providing support during episodes of distress Assisting with routines and transitions We are looking for someone who is: Calm, patient and dependable Non-judegemental and emotionally intelligent Comfortable supporting a child with complex behaviours Able to follow parental guidance and routines Flexible Has experience supporting children/young people with learning disabilities and SEND, behaviours that challenge (preferred but not essential) Experience in care, SEND support work or education, CAMHS, nursing, or similar areas would be welcomed.
