Personal Assistant Required – Stockton-on-Tees

A friendly and sociable young lady in the Stockton area is looking to recruit a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to support her in her day-to-day life both at home and in the community.

About the Role:

The role involves supporting with personal care and daily routines, including assistance with washing, dressing, and meals. The successful applicant will also support with hoisting and safe transfers into a wheelchair, as well as helping her get ready for and return from her day centre.

There will be a strong focus on supporting her to enjoy activities she loves, including crafts, shopping, trips to the park and visits to local attractions such as Mima. Encouraging gentle exercise, movement through play, and engaging in sensory activities will also form an important part of the role.

She is a very friendly, chatty individual with a mischievous sense of humour and a strong personality. She enjoys being out in the community and thrives with someone who can match her sociable nature while being patient and understanding of her needs and different moods.

About You:

The ideal Personal Assistant will be:

  • Patient, kind, and genuinely caring
  • Friendly and sociable, with a good sense of humour
  • Person-centred, with a sensitive and respectful approach
  • Able to build a positive relationship and get to know her individual needs and preferences
  • Confident in encouraging engagement, play, and community activities
Experience in care is preferred but not essential, as the right values and approach are most important.

A female Personal Assistant is required for this role due to personal care needs.

Hours of Work:

  • Weekdays:

    • Morning: 7:30am – 8:30/9:00am
    • Afternoon: 3:00/3:30pm – 5:30/6:00pm
  • Weekends:

    • 10:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
