Our son has no awareness of danger (for example around roads), so he wears reins when out and about and needs close supervision at all times. He is still in nappies, so applicants must be comfortable with personal care. The role will involve: Providing one-to-one support in and outside the home Supporting play, outdoor activities and outings Ensuring his safety at all times, particularly when out and about Supporting with personal care, including nappy changes Encouraging communication, independence and confidence through play Following routines and guidance set by parents The right person will be: Patient, calm and playful Quick on their feet and able to keep up with an active child Reliable, responsible and safety-aware Confident working one-to-one with a young child Warm, kind and able to build a trusting relationship Hours: Every Saturday for 4 hours 9:00am–1:00pm or 10:00am–2:00pm(we are flexible) Essential requirements: Full driving licence Access to a car with appropriate insurance Willingness to learn about autism (experience is welcome but not essential) You will be fully supported by parents, with guidance and training provided.
