About the job. We have a fantastic opportunity to join National Highways as a Scheme Co-ordinator to support the planning and delivery of construction schemes, primarily by supporting Project Managers manage roadspace and network occupancy processes, ensuring closures are effectively planned, coordinated and managed. Ensure the completion, collation, and secure storage of all scheme documentation and data within the appropriate databases and systems. Attend and contribute to construction planning and programming meetings, ensuring that health, safety, and wellbeing considerations are fully integrated throughout all project activities. About you. Advert Repairs & Maintenance Officer An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Empty Homes Team in the role of Repairs and Maintenance Officer. Supporting our Empty Homes Team Leader, the Repairs and Maintenance Officers will deliver void repairs. This includes diagnosis of maintenance issues and instruction of repairs, liaising with internal colleagues and external contractors and carrying out post inspections of repairs to monitor quality. The job holder will be responsible for processing purchase orders and authorising payments for completed work, ensuring that all works undertaken meet statutory, regulatory, policy and best practice requirements. It is essential you have experience of working within a housing repairs and maintenance environment. You must understand landlord repair and maintenance responsibilities and a knowledge of standards of workmanship for all trades involved in the repairs process including various Health & Safety regulations that relate to the construction industry. You must have effective IT skills, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as part of a busy team, to demonstrate motivation and enthusiasm, to organise your own workload and to work under pressure to ensure tight deadlines are met. You must also be able to attend meetings outwith normal office hours when required. It is essential you are a City and Guilds time served tradesperson, have an HNC/HND in a relevant building or construction discipline or have a relevant SVQ Level 3. It is essential that you have a commitment to social work values and an HNC or SVQ in criminal justice, social care or relevant qualification.
