About the job.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join National Highways as a Scheme Co-ordinator to support the planning and delivery of construction schemes, primarily by supporting Project Managers manage roadspace and network occupancy processes, ensuring closures are effectively planned, coordinated and managed.

You will:

  • Coordinate and secure Roadspace bookings, managing Clash Analysis reports to ensure confirmed access and enable efficient scheme delivery.
  • Prepare and issue scheme related documentation promptly to all relevant project team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the completion, collation, and secure storage of all scheme documentation and data within the appropriate databases and systems.
  • Attend and contribute to construction planning and programming meetings, ensuring that health, safety, and wellbeing considerations are fully integrated throughout all project activities.

About you.

  • Understanding of highway construction and delivery methods
  • IT Literate and experience of using MS Office packages
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Evidence of identification and use of appropriate metrics for analysis and interpretation of information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable - awareness of National Highways roadspace booking systems, Street Manager and Causeway (One Network)

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
