Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Practical experience of commercial building fabric repairs, minor works and planned maintenance. Competence in the safe use of hand tools and portable power tools. Working knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and permit controls. Ability to recognise the limits of own competence and escalate specialist electrical, gas, pressure-system or structural work. Strong customer-focused communication skills. Excellent housekeeping standards and accurate record-keeping. Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade, building maintenance, plumbing, mechanical services or a comparable discipline, or demonstrable time-served multi-trade experience.
