We are currently recruiting for a Safety Engineer – Aviation Investigation to join our client’s Aviation Safety team on a temporary basis, with potential for extension. The role will focus on investigating aviation safety occurrences and incidents, identifying causal factors and Human Factors, and supporting the organisation’s Safety Management System. Key responsibilities: - Conduct investigations into aviation safety occurrences and incidents. - Liaise with stakeholders and subject matter experts at all levels. - Conduct interviews and ensure investigations are fully documented in Centrik. - Identify causal factors, Human Factors and potential aviation safety risks. - Identify weaknesses in safety barriers and support risk mitigation. - Brief the Aviation Safety Manager and Accountable Managers on investigation progress and findings. - Support Event Review Groups (ERG), DASOR investigations and completion of actions. - Analyse and trend safety data, identifying recurring safety issues. - Support offsite investigations in the UK and overseas where required. - Contribute to safety initiatives, business improvement and the development of a positive Just Safety Culture. We are recruiting for a Project Data Analyst to support a client’s Operations team, reviewing large data sets and turning complex information into clear, user-friendly outputs. The Role - Review, manipulate and analyse large data packages. - Develop Power BI front-end interfaces to provide clear summary-level data with drill-down capability. - Initially focus on developing a costing model by reviewing aircraft Bills of Material (BoM), validating components and re-validating associated costs. - Work closely with Operations, Industrial Operations and wider business teams. - Present outputs at project and occasional senior-level reviews. - Work to agreed deadlines and continuously improve the accuracy and usability of outputs. - Occasional national/international travel may be required. About You - Strong experience managing and presenting large amounts of data in Excel. - Experience with Power BI is desirable, but not essential. - Experience using Siemens Teamcenter would be advantageous; training can be provided. - Able to break down complex data into clear, understandable summaries. - Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills. - SAP experience is desirable. - Basic financial awareness/cost modelling experience would be beneficial. - Aircraft build/BoM experience would be advantageous but is not essential. - Good written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present your work. This is a temporary 6-month position with the potential for extension and offers the opportunity to work within a varied project and product environment.
