What we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation.
We’re looking for Senior Family Recovery Practitioner for Cheshire West & Chester (Base Chester) to join our dedicated team, supporting families where parental drug and/or alcohol use is impacting children, parenting capacity and family life.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to combine direct family intervention work with leadership responsibilities, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-focused and outcome-driven services across Cheshire West and Chester.
As a Senior Family Recovery Practitioner, you will provide specialist support to, parents and families experiencing multiple and complex challenges. You will play a key role in safeguarding children, improving family outcomes and supporting sustainable recovery.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and safeguarding principles.
This role would particularly suit someone with extensive experience in substance misuse services, alongside strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in identifying, assessing and responding to risk.
Due to the nature of the work (e.g. multiple short appointments in a day), geographical area covered (e.g., all of Cheshire West & Chester) and impacts of Public Transport availability and efficiency, candidates will need to demonstrate that they can meet the travel requirements of the role, that are comparable with Private Transport use.
While demonstrating Private Transport comparability is traditionally associated with owning and using your own Vehicle, alternative travel arrangements will be fully and fairly considered, provided they demonstrate that the individual is able to carry out their duties effectively.
Application deadline: 6th December at midnight
Salary range: £32,333 to 32,824 per annum, dependent one experience
Role: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education, and much more.
We’re looking for individuals with compassion, good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
If you’re someone who is a good listener, stays curious, and wants to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
