Summary

At Via, our mission is to provide the best health and wellbeing support to as many people as possible, helping them to change their lives for the better.

Last year, we supported over 11,000 people across the UK affected by alcohol and drug use. Everything we do is driven by our values:

• Care. Care for people is at the heart of everything we do.

• Be human. We are accessible, genuine and humble. Always learning.

• Do the right thing. We’re open, honest and inclusive. We get things done.

We want to recruit the very best talent. We believe in nurturing a positive workplace culture where our colleagues feel valued, recognised, empowered, and supported.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a dedicated Family Recovery Practitioner to join our team, delivering intensive, whole-family support to families where substance use is impacting parenting capacity, family stability and children's welfare.

As a Family Recovery Practitioner, you will work directly with families to deliver targeted, time-limited interventions that promote safety, recovery and resilience. You will engage parents and carers who may be reluctant to access support, helping them to overcome barriers and successfully engage with treatment and recovery services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Family Help, Family Safeguarding and Children's Services, you will play a key role in reducing risk and improving outcomes for children and families.

This role would particularly suit someone with experience in substance misuse services, alongside strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in identifying, assessing and responding to risk.

Due to the nature of the work (e.g.multiple short appointments in a day), geographical area covered (e.g., all of Cheshire West & Chester) and impacts of Public Transport availability and efficiency, candidates will need to demonstrate that they can meet the travel requirements of the role, that are comparable with Private Transport use.

While demonstrating Private Transport comparability is traditionally associated with owning and using your own Vehicle, alternative travel arrangements will be fully and fairly considered, provided they demonstrate that the individual is able to carry out their duties effectively.

This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education, and much more.

We’re looking for individuals with compassion, good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

If you’re someone who is a good listener, stays curious, and wants to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
