Summary

The Hays Senior Finance interim & contracts team are recruiting an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join a growing, multi-entity business for an initial six-month assignment. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, this is a hands-on role supporting the business through a period of change and growth, with a focus on financial control, group reporting, process improvement and strengthening the wider finance function.

Key responsibilities

Lead consolidated monthly management accounts and Group reporting

Strengthen financial controls, processes and balance sheet integrity

Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

Oversee statutory reporting, VAT and audit requirements

Lead and support the wider finance team

Drive improvements across reporting, systems and processes

Partner closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders

Support wider finance projects and business change

About you

We're looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller / Financial Controller who can hit the ground running.

Ideally you will be:

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

Experienced within a Group, multi-entity or complex SME environment

Technically strong in reporting, controls and consolidations

Comfortable leading and developing a finance team

Confident working with senior stakeholders

Hands-on, adaptable and commercially minded

Available immediately or at short notice

Package & process

£350-£450 per day, dependent on experience and pay type

Initial 6-month assignment

Hybrid working (3 days required on site)

One-stage Team interview (slots as soon as this week)
