Summary

Join a dedicated and supportive team making a real difference to families across Conwy.

In this rewarding role, you will be part of a strong, supportive team, providing guidance and practical support to childcare providers and families within the Welsh Government Funded Childcare for 2 Year Olds programme. You will play an important role in helping families access high-quality childcare and supporting children as they begin their early years journey.

You will be based in a Family centre alongside the Conwy Family Support Teams and will travel across Conwy County to provide support to families and childcare providers.

Yn y swydd werthfawr hon, byddwch yn rhan o dîm cryf a chefnogol, ac yn darparu arweiniad a chefnogaeth ymarferol i ddarparwyr gofal plant a theuluoedd o fewn rhaglen Gofal Plant i Rai Dwy Oed a Ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru. Byddwch yn chwarae rôl bwysig o ran helpu teuluoedd i gael mynediad at ofal plant o ansawdd uchel a chefnogi plant wrth iddynt ddechrau eu taith yn y blynyddoedd cynnar.

Byddwch yn gweithio mewn Canolfan i Deuluoedd ochr yn ochr â Thimau Cymorth i Deuluoedd Conwy ac yn teithio ledled Sir Conwy i ddarparu cefnogaeth i deuluoedd a darparwyr gofal plant.

Essential requirements

We are looking for someone who: • Has experience creating caring, safe and stimulating environments for young children • Is confident in supporting families as their child begins their childcare journey • Understands the importance of high-quality play opportunities for pre-school children • Experience in supporting children’s progress and development through assessment based on observations of children’s daily activities • Has a good knowledge of child development and learning • Can support and promote children’s speech, language and communication development • Enjoys working in partnership with parents and carers to support children’s progress at home If you are passionate about supporting childcare providers, young children and their families and want to be part of a service that truly makes a difference, we would love to hear from you. The ability to lead activities for children and converse at ease with families and childcare providers through the medium of Welsh is essential for one of the posts and the ability to lead activities for children and hold basic conversations with families and childcare providers through the medium of Welsh is desirable for the other post. Appointment to this post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
