Summary

AWS Python Developer - Active SC Clearance

Up to £420pd (Inside IR35)

Remote

6 months

My client is looking for an experienced AWS Python Developer to support and enhance a live, business-critical platform. This is a hands-on development and production support role, focused on delivering new features, resolving complex issues and improving platform stability.

Key requirements:

Active Security Clearance (SC)

Strong Python development experience

Hands-on experience using boto3 and AWS SDKs

Strong experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDB and CloudWatch

Experience developing and supporting event-driven and serverless architectures

Experience with AWS Batch and API Gateway

Strong production support and troubleshooting experience across multiple services and integrations

Ability to analyse existing code and deliver maintainable, low-risk changes

Experience creating automated tests using pytest, moto or similar tools

Ability to produce clear technical documentation and operational support procedures

Nice to have:

Experience with large-scale ETL pipeline platforms

Understanding of the application, infrastructure and operational aspects of live services

Experience contributing to technical designs and agreeing pragmatic implementation approaches

Experience improving platform performance, maintainability and operational stability

Experience with GitHub Copilot and agentic workflows
