Performance Snapshot

CQC Rating: Requires Improvement | Recent Internal Quality Audit: Good | Occupancy: 98% | Care home review rating: 9.1

The Role

This is not a turnaround project from scratch. The foundations are firmly in place, and the incoming Home Manager will have the opportunity to build on recent successes and take the service to the next level.

Success in this role will involve embedding sustainable improvements, strengthening a culture of accountability and person-centred care, and ensuring the service consistently achieves the high standards required to secure an improved regulatory outcome.

As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, compliance, commercial performance, and culture of the service. During your first six months, you will focus on gaining a thorough understanding of the home's existing improvement and action plans, ensuring that the positive changes already achieved are fully embedded and sustained. You will work closely with the team to coach, support, and develop colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care while creating a positive, accountable, and resident-focused culture.

Through visible leadership and effective team development, you will help ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and support every day.

You will have the autonomy to make a genuine impact on the lives of residents and colleagues alike, while benefiting from the support of an experienced and dedicated regional team committed to your success.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a confident and experienced leader with a firm but fair management style and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.

You will have previous experience managing a care home and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of key performance indicators, quality assurance, occupancy management, and regulatory compliance. You will have successfully led teams through inspection processes and have a proven track record of embedding improvement plans where opportunities for development have been identified.

You'll be experienced in driving positive cultural change, building high-performing teams, and supporting colleagues to reach their full potential. Your leadership style will be visible, supportive, and transformational, enabling you to inspire confidence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the home.

Most importantly, you will be passionate about improving outcomes for residents, creating exceptional experiences for families, and building a culture where both people and teams can thrive.

Why lead Holme Lea Care Home

Holme Lea presents an opportunity to join a well-established and highly occupied care home with strong foundations already in place. With occupancy at 98%, a strong enquiry pipeline, and a positive reputation with both the local authority and the local community, the home has many of the key ingredients for success.

While the home is currently rated Requires Improvement by CQC, significant progress has already been made, with a recent internal quality audit achieving a Good outcome.

This creates an exciting opportunity for an experienced Home Manager to build on that momentum, embed sustainable improvements, and lead the home towards achieving its full potential.
