Summary

The role of this position is to support the Care Group Management team in the delivery and management of all patients on the DM01 and 18 week RTT pathways, both outpatient and in-patient; ensuring adherence to local and national targets. In addition, you will be required to ensure that processes within the care group pathways and quality indicators are being met. This will involve working with various levels of personnel in order to ensure that deadlines are met. The Support Officer will support the Care Group Management team with the overall supervision of the medical secretariat within Long Term Conditions. General Responsibilities - Managerial:To supervise and lead a group of staff within Endoscopy and incorporating all staff issues: Sickness ManagementRecruitment and SelectionInduction TrainingMandatory training and development in accordance with organisation policiesTraining of staff in the work placeKSF Process and facilitation of continued professional developmentAttendance records/signing time sheetsManaging of annual leave and time in lieuOvertime managementCompetency issuesDisciplinary issues initiate appropriate actionInvestigate and action complaintsEnsure a continuous level of staffing is available in the relevant areas
