Summary

Finance & Business Support LeadAre you a qualified finance professional looking for a role where you can influence strategy, improve business performance and lead a broader support function?As part of the Senior Management Team, you'll lead Finance and Business Support, working closely with senior leaders to provide strategic financial insight, advice and constructive challenge. You'll play a key role in shaping financial plans, investment decisions and business performance within a complex operational environment.What you'll be doing

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

Provide strategic financial advice, identifying risks, opportunities and financial implications.

Support and challenge budget holders, turning complex financial information into clear business insight.

Provide financial assurance around business cases, capital investment and strategic decisions.

Lead and develop the Finance and Business Support team.

Strengthen financial controls, systems and processes.

Oversee wider business support including procurement, contract management, asset management and key business systems.

Build strong relationships with senior leaders, technical teams and external partners, deputising for the Head of Function when required.

What you'll bringYou'll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong financial management, analytical and business partnering experience.You'll be confident influencing senior stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and making complex financial information accessible to non-financial colleagues.You'll also bring strong Excel and management accounting systems experience, alongside excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
