Role Purpose

Own the Amazon channel end-to-end and deliver profitable sales growth. This is not a PPC-only role; the successful candidate will be accountable for Amazon sales, listings, organic ranking, conversion, pricing, promotions, PPC, stock availability and product launches. The role is suited to someone who is highly driven by sales numbers, acts quickly on performance data and takes ownership of the Amazon result.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Commercial Performance:

- Own weekly, monthly and annual Amazon sales targets and growth plans.

- Monitor sales, orders, units, average selling price, conversion and contribution performance.

- Identify winning SKUs to scale and underperforming SKUs requiring action.

- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, rankings and category activity.

- Build and manage the Amazon trading calendar, including Prime events, Black Friday, Christmas and other key trading periods.

- Recommend pricing, coupons, promotions and deal activity within the approved commercial framework.

Amazon PPC:

- Own Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and relevant display / remarketing campaigns.

- Manage keywords, search terms, targeting, bids, budgets and campaign testing.

- Optimise ACOS, TACOS, ROAS and PPC sales while supporting total Amazon growth.

- Use PPC data to identify organic keyword opportunities and improve listings.

- Align ad spend with stock availability, launches and promotional priorities.

Listings, SEO and Conversion:

- Optimise titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords, images, videos and A+ content where relevant.

- Improve organic visibility, keyword ranking and conversion rate.

- Monitor reviews, ratings, Buy Box and account-health issues.

- Work with Product / PIM and Creative teams to ensure listings are complete, accurate and commercially strong.

Stock, Forecasting and Product Launches:

- Monitor Amazon stock availability and identify out-of-stock or excess-stock risks early.

- Work with Product / Buying on demand trends, launch quantities and promotional stock requirements.

- Work with Customer Fulfilment on Linnworks, FBA / 3PL and stock-discrepancy issues.

- Own Amazon launch execution for new products, including listing readiness, keyword strategy, PPC setup, pricing and early performance optimisation.

Research, Reporting and Action:

- Conduct keyword, search-demand, competitor and category research.

- Provide concise weekly reporting covering sales, conversion, traffic, PPC, ranking, stock risks and actions.

- Every review should answer: What happened? Why did it happen? What are we doing next?

AI-Assisted Creative and Productivity:

- Use approved AI tools to create or adapt Amazon listing and campaign assets, including draft lifestyle concepts, creative variations and promotional visuals.

- Use AI to support copy ideation, keyword research, competitor analysis and performance insight generation.

- Create multiple creative versions for testing while maintaining product accuracy and brand consistency.

- Work with the Content and Creative Marketing Executive to ensure final assets meet channel and brand requirements.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Amazon sales £ and sales growth %

- Orders / units and sales vs target

- Contribution / profitable growth

- Conversion rate and traffic

- Organic keyword ranking

- PPC sales, ACOS, TACOS and ROAS

- In-stock rate and stock-out risk

- Listing completeness and launch readiness

- Promotion and new-product launch performance

Candidate Profile:

- Strong hands-on Amazon Marketplace and Seller Central experience.

- Proven Amazon PPC experience with evidence of commercial results.

- Demonstrated ability to grow Amazon sales, not just optimise advertising metrics.

- Strong understanding of ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, conversion and keyword / search-term performance.

- Strong Excel / Google Sheets analytical skills.

- Confident using AI tools for creative asset production, copy ideation, research and analysis.

- Highly proactive, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership of targets.

- Able to balance sales growth, stock availability and profitability.

- Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.

Success in the Role

“I own the Amazon number.”

The successful person understands what is driving the Amazon result, what is holding it back, and what actions are required to grow it profitably.
