Summary
The Best Connection Birmingham is recruiting for an experienced
Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team of mechanical and electrical maintenance technicians, ensuring the safe operation of production machinery and plant equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge who can lead a team and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment within a growing industrial business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team.
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and inspections.
- Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Coordinate subcontractors and support associated health and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage critical spare parts.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and implement improvements to reliability and performance.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
- A relevant engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent.
