This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail and can manage several tasks in a busy educational environment.

Key responsibilities

Class scheduling and administration

Organise class timetables, student bookings and teacher schedules.

Maintain accurate student records, attendance registers and contact details.

Coordinate timetable changes, cancellations and replacement sessions.

Support the centre manager with daily administration and record keeping.

Parent enquiries and student enrolment

Welcome new and existing parents and students to the centre.

Respond to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.

Explain our tuition services, class options and enrolment process.

Book initial assessments and trial sessions, send reminders and follow up with parents.

Share routine updates with parents and refer academic questions or concerns to the appropriate teacher or manager.

Payments and fee administration

Process tuition payments, issue receipts and maintain accurate payment records.

Prepare invoices, monitor outstanding fees and send polite payment reminders.

Answer routine payment queries and refer any discrepancies to the centre manager.

Handle student information and financial records confidentially.

Classroom and teaching support

Communicate with teachers about class schedules, attendance, materials and student needs.

Help supervise students before, between and after lessons, following centre procedures.

Observe classes when requested and report practical concerns to the teacher or centre manager.

Assist with marking worksheets and assessments using provided answer sheets and guidance.

Record assessment results and organise completed student work.

Learning materials and centre organisation

Print, photocopy and organise workbooks, worksheets, assessments and other teaching materials.

Prepare classrooms and materials before lessons.

Monitor stationery and printing supplies and arrange replenishment as needed.

Keep reception, classrooms and shared areas tidy, organised and welcoming.

Follow the centre’s safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures.

What we are looking for

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Clear, professional communication and a friendly, patient manner.

Confidence speaking with parents, students and teachers.

Good attention to detail when handling bookings, payments and records.

Confidence using email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and a willingness to learn booking and payment systems.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A responsible approach to working around children and handling confidential information.

Previous experience in administration, reception, customer service or an education setting is desirable. Experience in a tuition centre would be an advantage.
