Trustee role
Are you looking to seize an amazing opportunity to become a Charity Trustee ??
CXK are looking to recruit two new Trustees to join our highly effective and supportive Board.
CXK’s 2025–2030 strategy sets out our ambition to meet the changing needs of the people of all ages we serve. The government’s emphasis on getting and keeping Britain working is providing new opportunities for CXK to develop its services to larger numbers of beneficiaries and be even more visible within local communities.
Being a trustee is a hugely rewarding role. Whatever your career path or stage of life, it offers the chance to learn from others, gain new perspectives, develop skills and build confidence. You can bring experience from work, volunteering, your community, personal experiences or other interests, and use it to contribute to something bigger than yourself. You don’t need previous trustee experience or a senior job title. A willingness to listen, ask questions and share your perspective are just as valuable.
We’re particularly keen to hear from people with an interest or experience in HR and inclusion, Marketing, Media, PR or Legal, a connection to East Sussex, where CXK is delivering an increasing number of services, or experience of using CXK’s services or similar support. These are areas we are seeking greater representation, not a checklist of requirements. We want our Board to bring together different experiences and perspectives, and to become more representative of the people and communities we serve.
If you care about CXK’s mission to inspire people to thrive and would like to contribute to our future, we’d welcome a conversation. You can ask questions, find out more about the role and decide whether trusteeship and CXK feel right for you. You don’t need to have everything worked out before getting in touch!
To ask for more information about the role or clarification in how to submit your expression of interest then please contact Pauline Smith, CKX’s CEO at PaulineSmith@CXK.org
