Summary
WoofWalk is a UK app through which dog owners find, book and pay a walker nearby. Two owners in the Brent Knoll villages asked locally for one during the last two weeks, and our nearest walker was more than twenty-five kilometres off. We would like up to three self-employed walkers between Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge, Berrow, Brent Knoll and East Brent, walking the beach and dunes at Berrow, Apex Park and the lanes around the Knoll.
There is no wage. What there is: a chance to run a small walking business of your own through the app, with no guaranteed bookings, your own prices and your own days. Owners book you in the app, pay in the app, and the fee lands in your bank.
Rates vary widely. Roughly 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 priced an hour's solo walk from £12 up to £28, with £18 the usual figure. None of that is pay from WoofWalk.
The charges are simple. Nothing to join. No commission on your first 14 days. Then 15% per booking, falling to 10% for good once five of your own clients are on the app, and any client you bring in yourself is charged at 10% from their first walk. Your tax, National Insurance and insurance cover are yours to arrange.
Tell us the villages you can reach, your days and your price, and we will draft a profile for you to sign off. If you walk dogs already, your current clients can come with you, and bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks all sit in one app.
You must be over 18, fine with a wet Somerset Level, and ready to meet every owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and say whether Burnham, Highbridge or the villages suit you best.
