Hybrid Senior Procurement Officer needed in Northampton Paying £360 per day ref RQ1795072

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex procurement exercises from strategy development through to contract award and implementation.
Deliver procurements relating to:
- Housing asset investment programmes
- Planned and reactive maintenance contracts
- Refurbishment and capital improvement works
- Repairs and maintenance services
- Property and building-related contracts
Develop procurement strategies that support service objectives, compliance requirements, and value-for-money outcomes.
Provide procurement and commercial advice to stakeholders across Housing and Asset Management teams.
Prepare procurement documentation, tender packs, evaluation criteria, contract schedules, and award recommendations.
Manage competitive tendering processes through relevant procurement portals and frameworks.
Ensure all procurement activity complies with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), policies, and governance requirements.
Support contract mobilisation and handover to operational contract management teams.
Build effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and key internal stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and commercial efficiencies.
Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
