Summary

A few walkers in the Black Country have already set up on WoofWalk, but Wolverhampton owners who go away still have nobody to come to the house. We want three self-employed pet sitters: for the centre and Penn, for Tettenhall and for Wednesfield and Bilston. It is not a walking job. The dog stays where it lives and you come to it.

The work is a few visits across a long weekend, a run of nights at the owner's address, or a week of cover. You follow their routine for food and medication, take the dog out, spend time with it and send a daily update.

Understand the arrangement. WoofWalk is a booking app, not your employer. No wage, and no promise that bookings will come. You set the price of a visit and of a night, you pick what to accept, and owners pay in the app, with the money paid out to your bank. Tax, National Insurance and insurance all sit on your side of the arrangement. We found no Wolverhampton sitting price and will not guess one.

Home boarding is when dogs stay at your home. A council licence is required before you start, and the app lists the service separately. Stays at the owner's address need no licence.

On fees: free to join, no commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking. When five of your own clients have signed up through you, it is 10% for life. Clients you source yourself pay 10% immediately.

Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the parts of Wolverhampton you can reach and whether overnights suit you.

Essential requirements

Reliable and trustworthy, as owners hand you their keys and their pets. Calm and caring with dogs and cats. Good communication with owners. A smartphone to use the app.
