Summary

Carlisle sits between the Lakes, the Pennines and the Border, and plenty of owners are away walking, working or visiting family. Who minds the dog? We want three self-employed pet sitters in and around the city, and one who can reach Brampton and Dalston. Not a walking role: you look after the dog where it lives.

A booking is a visit or two a day, a stay of a few nights or a week of holiday cover. You follow what the owner has written down about meals, medicine and routine, walk the dog, give it company and send a daily message.

WoofWalk is a UK booking app. We are not your employer, there is no wage, and work is not guaranteed. You choose your own price per visit and per night. Owners book and pay through the app, with the money paid out to you. Tax, National Insurance and insurance will be your responsibility to arrange. No Carlisle sitting figure has been researched, so none is quoted here.

If you would like dogs to stay at your own address, that is home boarding, which needs a licence from the council before you start and appears in the app as a separate service. At the owner's address it does not.

The money side: free to join, no commission for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking. Five of your own clients joining through you brings it down to 10% for life, and clients you find yourself are charged 10% from day one.
