The Opportunity

You will be responsible for building your own pipeline through cold outreach, starting conversations with business owners and developing these opportunities into advertising campaigns and sponsorship partnerships.

The successful Business Development Executive will identify and approach prospective advertisers through cold calls, personalised emails and local business networking. You will arrange meetings to understand each business’s goals, recommend suitable advertising opportunities and manage the sales process from initial contact through to proposal, negotiation and agreement. You will also maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations and next steps, while working with the wider team to ensure advertisers receive a smooth start and positive experience.

The successful Business Development Executive will be comfortable proactively approaching prospective clients and asking for their business. You will be curious about what makes a business tick, confident discussing money and persistent enough to follow opportunities through. Previous experience winning new business through cold outreach and working towards sales targets is essential, alongside strong communication, listening and organisational skills.
