Summary
Chelmsford commuters leave early and come home late, and when they go away for a few days the dog needs somebody at home. We want three self-employed pet sitters to be that somebody in Springfield, Great Baddow, Writtle and around the town centre. It is not walking work. You look after the dog in the owner's house.
A booking means turning up on time, feeding the dog, giving medication, letting it out, walking it and sending the owner an update. Some are a single visit; others are nights in the house.
Local public listings put a home visit at about £16 and a night of home boarding at about £37.
Your arrangement with WoofWalk: you work for yourself and we are an app, not an employer. We pay no wage and do not guarantee work, so treat each booking as a booking, not a salary. Set your own price per visit and per night. Owners book and pay in the app and the money goes straight to your bank. You deal with tax, National Insurance and insurance on your own account.
If you want dogs to stay at your own home, that is home boarding. It needs a council licence before you begin and has a separate listing in the app. At the owner's own house, no licence is involved.
On the fees side, free to join and commission-free for your first 14 days. From day 15 onward the commission is 15% of each booking. If five of your own clients join through you, that falls to 10% for life, and your own clients pay 10% from day one.
